The exciting new lip launch by LoveMeBeauty!

Last month an exciting new beauty launch landed on my doorstep. The beauty subscription service LoveMeBeauty has taken a new direction. Offering beauty products at wallet friendly prices. The first products to launch were lips. I was so thrilled to try the 9 shades in the range.

Background into LoveMeBeauty

I first discovered LoveMeBeauty last year and subscribed to them for around 9 months, before deciding to cancel my subscription. What I loved about the service is, it allowed you to pick the products you wanted each month. Always offering high-end, desirable brands to choose from. I cancelled because I was receiving more products then I was using each month and decided to focus on using up my stash. Since then, LoveMeBeauty has decided to take a new exciting direction. Transforming from a monthly beauty subscription, into selling and manufacturing their own products. Using the LoveMeBeauty site as a vehicle to do so. This new launch offers wallet friendly products that look and perform like the high-end makeup we all crave, but at a fraction of the price.

Who are Phase Zero?

Phase Zero is an exciting collaboration with Lovemebeauty. They are a very wallet friendly and cruelty free brand. Being available only online allows them to keep their prices low. Although they are a relatively new brand, new and exciting products have been launching every month. The line currently includes; lip products, powder, cream and liquid eyeshadows in abundance. Phase Zero has also teased bronzers and blushes too. They focus heavily on customer feedback to create fun and exciting products that you want.

When I first read about the brand I got really excited, they are very much focused on user engagement and taking on board advice and opinions to help shape the brand to come. I’m excited to see how it will grow and what releases are in-store.

The Lip products are £4.50 each and there are numerous bundles are available to save even more.

Lip Toppers | £4.50

The lip toppers currently come in two shades, Prosecco kiss and Holo Lip. These can be worn on their own or over the top of a lipstick or liquid lipstick to transform the shade and finish. The Holo lip shade is packed with iridescent pink and blue shimmer, that is more transparent then the Prosecco Kiss Shade. Prosecco kiss is more of a metallic and opaque shade that proves more coverage over-top your chosen shade below. However if you were after a sheer sheen, you can pat this onto the lips to disperse the colour. I love both shades for different reasons and for a starting launch I think they picked two great options to start with. If you like the unicorn makeup trend or are a rose gold fanatic, these will make great fun editions to your makeup bag.

These have a very thin texture that dry’s almost immediately. As they are so thin they don’t add any moisture or feel like an extra layer on the lips. Once they dry, they stay put and although glitter does come off if you rub at it, I doesn’t really transfer off that easily.

What I love about these is how creative you can be with them. A touch on the centre of your lips to add shine and dimension or a complete coat to completely transform a shade, there is not limit.

Liquid Lipsticks | £4.50

The Liquid Lipsticks currently come in four shades, Chai Latte, Pink Suede, Gingerbread & Classic Red. I must admit, I was most excited for the Liquid Lipsticks. The four shades are just beautiful and upon swatching I was blown away with how smooth, pigmented and even they were.

They also have a thin consistency, not as thin as the toppers but equally undetectable feeling on the lips. They dry almost immediately. I find I have enough time to work with them and achieve a neat lip line. These are the quintessential matte formula, they behave like liquid lipsticks triple their price. Although they are not moisturising, I wouldn’t expect them to be. Nothing about the formula, wear time or appearance on my lips let me down. For the factory cost, I highly recommend grabbing every shade if you love matte liquid lipsticks.

Gingerbread is my new favourite shade its perfect for everyday and because they dry down, I don’t worry about them smudging or bleeding outside my lip line. As they are matte I recommend using a lip scrub and a light layer of lip balm before applying to get the best result.

 Lip Glosses | £4.50

The Lip Glosses come in three shades, Baby Pink, Postbox Red & Goth Gloss. Baby pink gives a light sheer sheen on your lips. That adds a nice amount of shine and looks naturally pretty. Worn on its own or adds shine without much colour over-top a liquid lipstick.

The Postbox red is not normally a shade I would go for, as I find reds that aren’t matte a bit to high maintenance. However, I love how it could pair with the liquid lipstick red and glossy lips always are a winner for photography. Goth Gloss is a bit streaky in comparisons to all the other products in the range. I found it difficult to get a perfect application. I know purples are hard to get right and if you wear it over-top of a darker shade, you won’t notice the streaking as much. Although Goth Gloss is a bit out of the box for me, for £3.50 is probably a shade I would still buy, because I love trying new things and discovering new amazing combos.

All the lip glosses have a gel texture that feels smooth and not sticky at all. As it doesn’t have the notorious sticky texture. It doesn’t last as long on the lips as some glosses, but the baby pink is easy to top-up on the go and the other shades would be too. However, I recommend a mirror.

What else will be launching?

Phase Zero has just dropped their eyeshadows. Which come in 22 shades starting at £2.90 for a single. There are some bundle options on their site as well, that could save you even more. If you love multiple shades. On the LoveMeBeauty Instagram, they have teased Metallic Cream Eyeshadow pots as well. Not much else has been said about what they have in the pipeline. As it is early days for the brand, I imagine they will be releasing products fairly frequently. Building a collection and give more options to those subscribing. I can’t wait to see more!

Phase Zero Lip Products LoveMeBeauty

The quality of every part of these products really impressed me. For only a couple of quid you are getting a really high quality product. The packaging, formula and shade range feels premium, thought-out and well executed. The scent is absolutely divine as well, it reminds me of melted caramel and I love it. I adore the liquid lipsticks the most, but all the products have impressed me so much. I hope they add even more shades because the formulas, packaging and price is amazing!

Thank you so much LoveMeBeauty for spoiling me with this gorgeous lip Launch*! I can’t wait to see what else is added and I’m so excited for the new direction. Who doesn’t want affordable beauty?

What are you most excited to try from Phase Zero?
