Mission Possible: Drink More Water
Last year I discovered Waterdrop Microdrinks and they have been a part of my daily routine ever since. They have some new flavours out, so I wanted to share my thoughts on these innovative drinks once again. Waterdrop also makes the most beautiful water accessories that have really encouraged me to drink more water as well.

Happy and Hydrated
When I wrote my original post I was trying to drink more water. I’m pleased to report with the help of Waterdrop Microdrinks I now drink the recommended 8 glasses a day! It wasn’t easy and definitely didn’t happen over night but I can safely say I’m so happy I made the effort. I have really noticed such a difference in how I feel. First of all I get a lot less headaches, my skin looks better, I sleep better and I don’t get a dry mouth any more. So it has been a really positive journey. I wanted to share how I made the change and a few tips to drink more water!
But first let’s talk about two new flavours of Waterdrop Microdrinks…
Sky Microdrink | Pineberry – Passion Fruit – Cactus Fruit
Limited Edition
Sky might just be my new favourite flavour! Isn’t that always the way with limited editions? It’s light and refreshing and tastes mostly of passion fruit which absolutely I love. I think unfortunelty this is now sold out! My fault for not being able to talk about this quick enough. I wanted to keep this in just in case you could still find it or if they ever bring it back (fingers crossed).
Shiro Microdrink | Cherry Blossom – Mallow – Ginseng £8.90
Shiro is such a wonderful complex yet light flavour. The cherry blossom note is delicate and so delicious. I have never tasted anything like it! I love that Shiro has natural caffeine as well, it makes it a great morning swap for coffee to make sure you are getting hydrated at the start of the day. The mallow adds a sweet taste to compliment the delicate flora flavour. I love it!

My Tips for drinking more water:
- Cold water tastes much better! I keep a 2 litre bottle of tap water in my fridge that I top up. I drink a lot more when it’s cold and more refreshing.
- Have a glass of water with every meal – that’s 3/8 already.
- Swap juice or fizzy drinks for a Waterdrop Microdrink, still sweet and much better for you!
- Get a beautiful water bottle – I drink more when I carry a bottle with me and a pretty bottle catches my eye and reminds me to drink more.
- Set reminders – until it becomes habit it can be easy to forget. We all have busy lives so setting a reminder on your phone to drink a glass of water every few hours is a great way to keep up.
Drinking more water is a process. I often found I was dehydrated but ignoring my thirst signals and it was only when I got a headache I would think, hmm better have some water. I found by making it a priority and giving it my focus I drank more. It doesn’t consume my day like I though it would. I take a few minutes to drink a glass of water and then I carry on with whatever I was doing. For me this has worked really well. I tend to drink mostly plain water then have a microdrink once a day, usually mid afternoon as a pick me up. I also never leave the house without water now. Little bit by little it become my routine.
Waterdrop currently as 11 flavours here are my favourites:
Love Microdrink | Pomegranate – Goji Berry – Schizandra £6.99
Well named because I love it! Love is one for the berry fans. The sweet taste of pomegranate is a great pick for someone looking for a sweet, fruity swap that is lighter then a juice. It has a slight tarte note that makes it even more refreshing. Schizandra is also a berry (I had to google it!) so this really is a very berry mix. The water turns a lovely shade of pink too. Is it love? I think so!
Youth Microdrink | Peach – Ginger – Ginseng – Dandelion £6.99
Peach is my favourite fruit so of course I love Youth! Ginger and Ginseng compliment the juicy sweetness of the peach giving it a little zing to the flavour. It has added vitamins of B3, B7 and C to help normal function of your skin. So it’s more then just a cup of squash. It really is youth in a glass.
Relax Microdrink | Hibiscus – Aronia – Acerola £6.99
We all could do with a little Relax! Hibiscus is a flavour I can’t get enough of. It’s tropical, sweet and tart all in one. Just like the Love Microdrink, this turns water a beautiful shade of pale red. Aronia and Acerola are both berry’s I had never come across before trying Waterdrop. They add a wonderful complexity to the taste, providing more refreshing thirst quenching flavours.

Boost Microdrink | Blackcurrant – Elderflower – Acai £6.99
Boost is one for blackcurrant lovers. This is my husbands favourite flavour so I had to include it. If you love Ribena this is the one for you. It’s much better for you and a great way to curb the sugar. Vitamins B6, B12 and C help your metabolism and help reduce tiredness and fatigue. The perfect choice for the afternoon slump.
How to drink Waterdrop Microdrinks
Microdrinks are easy to use, just drop the tiny tablet into water and watch it dissolve. I find they all taste better in ice cold water. The amount of water you use is up to you, I would recommend between 400ml-600ml of water. Play around the amount to find the strength you like. Waterdrop Microdrinks have a lot of flavour for such a tiny tablet. The fruity flavours go beyond just taste, they are packed with added vitamins. Each pack of Waterdrop Microdinks contains 12 tablets and average to 58p per drink. That’s a third of the price of an average bottled drink.
All of Waterdrop’s microdrinks contain zero sugar, artificial flavourings or colours.
Waterdrop makes your drinks taste better!
I love Waterdrop and they have really helped me on my journey to drink more water. I love picking a new flavour every day as a little afternoon pick me up. It’s helped me increase how much I drink water and helped me reduce my sugar intake as well. Over time I started to drink more plain water as well. I really credit them with helping me make the swap and transitioning to drinking more each day. Waterdrop makes the most beautiful water accessories. Their bottles are fantastic quality, functional and gorgeous to look at. I always have a bottle with me!

Wow, these look amazing! I have never seen these here in Australia but they are such a great idea for people who don’t like the taste of plain water. I don’t mind drinking water but definitely drink more at work than at home so could use these over the weekend for sure. Thanks for your recommendations, hope you’ve been well.
It’s interesting you say that as I also find when I am at home I don’t drink as much water. I think these or something similar can be a great way to increase your daily amount. thanks for reading! xx
