My first time trying Glossier.
Glossier has been on my wish-list for such a long time. I have always been intrigued by the brand. They have been available in the UK for a while now, so I really had no excuse. I’m so excited to share my first makeup haul and some first impressions on the products.

Glossier have always had my attention, their products attract so much positive buzz. The packaging is spot on and the prices are really reasonable. What’s not to love? I have added products to my cart so many times and now just felt like the perfect time to click buy. Especially, as I have just finished a 4 month no-buy.
With so many cult products to choose from, I felt spoilt for choice. I really want to try their skincare products at some point but currently, I have quite a back stock of skincare to work through. So I just stuck to makeup for this haul.
It all starts with a pink bubble-wrap bag
I don’t know what I was more excited for, the products, or the bag they came in. The pink bubble wrap bag is just so synonymous with the brand. It felt like a rite of passage. I think Glossier has done a hell of a job at marketing their products, they feel like they were created just for the digital age. That’s not to say they aren’t good quality, because even after a few uses, I’m already impressed. But they have created a dedicated cult following online, which is so commendable and inspiring. Of course I had to see for myself what Glossier had to offer.
The Makeup
I picked up the makeup set which contains Boy Brow, the Lash Slick Mascara and the Cloud Paint. They set costs £35 so is a saving of £8 if brought together. You can pick the shades you want, so it just seemed like a great starting point for me. All of these products can be purchased individually as well but who can resist a saving. I wanted to pick up Boy Brow and Cloud Paint anyway, so I ended up only paying £6 for the Lash Slick Mascara. One happy camper. Then of course I couldn’t check out without picking up the Balm Dotcom too.
Boy Brow in Brown | £14
Of course there could be no haul without Boy Brow. It’s certainly the product I have heard nothing but rave reviews about. I must say from the few times I’ve used it, I’m impressed. I picked the shade brown, which is a good match for me. I find the formula is wetter then Benefits Gimme Brow but it doesn’t seem to have any effect on the performance. It adds a nice amount of texture to my brows and gives them a fluffy look, while holding them in place.
Cloud Paint in Dusk | £15
Using Cloud Paint for the first time was one of those ‘skies parting and angels signing’ moments. I know already I want more of these. Dusk is the perfect rosy-nude shade, that is exactly the kind of blush shade I tend to gravitate towards. It wakes up my complexion and pairs well with all of my go to makeup looks. It blends like a dream and can be easily built up to the intensity you want. It’s a product you have to try for yourself to see how magical it really is.
Lash Slick Mascara | £14
I have a few mascaras on the go at the moment, so I have kept the Lash Slick unopened for the meantime. As Mascaras expire so quickly, I like to keep them sealed until I’m ready to use them. Still I’m looking forward to giving it a try, in the upcoming months and I will be sure to give an update of what I think. It’s safe to say the packaging is adorable but that’s all I can comment on for the moment.
Balm Dotcom in Original | £10
I can never resist a good lip balm. Balm Dotcom is just as good as I hoped. I decided to stick to the original to begin with but I’m already wanting every flavour. Birthday Cake, Mint and Coconut are all calling to me. I’m the type of person who always needs lip balm on hand, and can be very fussy about the formula. I have no complaints, it’s quite a thick, emollient texture, that does a great job of hydrating my lips. I do wish it had an applicator but as it’s meant to be a skin salve, that can be used anywhere. I can see why they stuck to just the squeezey tube format. Either way it’s a brilliant product and more affordable then my usual favourite the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream.
Final Thoughts
Glossier has real impressed me already, It’s still early days but everything I have tried so far from my haul, has become a favourite. I also had a little sample of the Milky Jelly Cleanser, which will definitely be featuring in my next haul, as I loved it right away. I can’t wait to try more from the brand, the hype is not missed placed. I have seen mixed reviews about the new Glossier Play products but I must say I am intrigued by the Colorslide pencils and Vinylic Lips. So much to try!
Have you tried Glossier?

I still haven’t tried Glossier either. You’re so right about the packaging and marketing, it’s so synonymous with the brand, which is quite impressive when you consider that they’re still a fairly new company. I’ve heard so much about their products, I have no idea how I’ve managed to go so long without trying them. I’m glad you’re liking everything you’ve used so far x

Nice Post! I´ve never tried Glossier before- I always think it is on the natural side of Make Up and I´m not sure if that is for me. The set seems really nice though- I do want to try something out from Glossier! 🙂

What a beautiful haul here, Sam! I know exactly what you mean about Cloud Paints, I love them so so much and almost wish they had even more colours available, because I use mine non-stop. Definitely get a duo of Beam and Puff! Those two can be mixed with Dusk and even on their own they give such a healthy look. Great picks for spring and summer xx

I love the Cloud Paint too! Hope you enjoy Lash Slick 🙂 I didn’t love it at first but what’s actually great about it is that it never flakes or smudges
