Vitamin Infused Herbal Tea
Winding down at the end of the day, with a cup of herbal tea, has been a long time ritual of mine. Taking care of my health and wellbeing is very important to me, so when Tea Plus asked if I would like to try their tea’s. It was an instant, ‘yes please!’
*These products have been sent to me for testing and review purposes. All opinions are my own.
A daily dose of oomph
I only like to review products I would actually buy myself and as a herbal tea enthusiast, I knew this was a product for me. All the tea’s in the range are naturally flavoured green teas and are design to benefit your overall health, as well as targeting your specific needs. There are four flavours to choose from. All are vegetarian and Energy & Cleanse are Vegan as well.
Vitabiotics
I have been taking Vitabiotics Vitamin D supplements daily for years (because England is dark, grey and lacking in sunshine), so it was great to see a brand I love and trust formed part of the blend. It really gives me the confidence that these tea’s have been thoroughly tested and well made.
I would always err on the side of caution with vitamin supplements and do your research. There is a lot of products out that that lay big claims but aren’t always what they seem to be. I feel confident in taking Tea Plus because I know and trust Vitabiotics. I have been asked to try many products in the past, that don’t meet my own personal criteria and so have politely declined. Nutrition and health is a personal thing, we all have different diets and lifestyles which can have an effect on what we need.
What I love about the brand, is not only is it a supplement I trust, but each tea brings something slightly different to the table, to suit different needs. Each cup has 100% of my daily requirements for specific vitamins so really is a complete dose.
Tea-rrific
The four flavours currently available, are all fruity and delicious. They are all mild tasting but you can definitely detect the notes and I find they take away that after-taste that green tea can have. If you find green tea bitter, I would suggest a small dash of honey or agave nectar. Personally I like it without but I do enjoy more bitter flavours. There is no vitamin taste and they don’t effect the quality of the tea.
The tea bags are unbleached and plastic free. Each bag is individually wrapped so you can take them with you if your travelling. For a box of 14 teabags its £3.95. That works out to be 28p a tea bag, which I think is very reasonable. Especially as we all know how expensive vitamins can be. They can be brought from the Tea Plus website or in-store at Ocado, Holland & Barret and Boots.
A daily dose
I always have a cup of herbal tea after dinner, it’s a habit I have had for years. As I find it helps with digestion, so this fit nicely into my routine. That’s not to say you couldn’t start your day with this, as a little boost, but it’s just what works for me. I have really been enjoying the fruity pick me up and it means I don’t have to remember to take my vitamins separately.
Vitamin D – Mango & Pineapple
- Helps maintain normal bones & teeth
- 100% NRV Vitamin D, Lemongrass & Green Tea
- Vegetarian
If I had to pick a favourite flavour, it would be this one. I just love the topical taste this gives to the green tea. It’s really refreshing and uplifting. As I have been taking Vitabiotics vitamin D supplements daily, I have put that on pause and been drinking this instead. Vitamin D is something I know I’m not getting enough of in my diet/lifestyle, so this is a crucial vitamin I look out for. This particular blend helps to maintain healthy bones, muscle function and supports your immune system. A must for the colder months, when our friend the sun is chilling in the southern hemisphere and not keeping us topped up on vitamin D. 100% will be buying this one again.
Energy – Raspberry & Pomegranate
- Helps reduce tiredness & fatigue
- 100% NRV Vitamin B^ & B12, Yerba Mate & Ginseng
- Vegan and a great source of B12
Energy is always something I’m lacking, a tea that can help me get into gear is very welcomed. I love the Raspberry & Pomegranate taste, I can see this flavour having mass appeal. Plus most importantly, this tea has a full vitamin B complex, which is amazing. Especially if you are vegan, as it’s a vitamin that can be harder to come by. Perfect for the reduction of tiredness and fatigue as well as a healthy metabolism and nervous system. I will definitely be stocking up.
Cleanse – Apple & Blackcurrant
- Helps protect against free radicals
- Selenium, Vitamin C, Milk Thistle & Dandelion Root
- Vegan
Here my secret, I’m not a fan of blackcurrant. Sorry Ribena. But I was pleased to discover I didn’t mind the taste of Cleanse after all, as the blend with apple is quite nice. As I said earlier in the post, I find the fruit flavours quite mild, so although it’s not my favourite flavour, I have been happily drinking it.
Selenium and Biotin are great for maintaining hair, skin and nails so this would be a great tea for my fellow beauty lovers.
Defence – Orange & Blueberry
- Encourages a healthy immune system
- 100% NRV Vitamin C, Ginseng, Echinacea & Vitamin D
- Vegetarian
Defence against the Dark Arts? Not quite… but this tea will give you a serious boost of vitamin C & D. Maybe just not enough to keep the Dementors away. Okay Harry potter references aside, I love this one too. What can I say, Tea Plus really is a hit with me. Defence contains Echinacea & Ginseng, which makes it a great choice if you’re feeling a little under the weather or if you’re trying to avoid the office lurgy. The combo of Vitamin C & D will help support normal function of the immune and nervous system. It goes without saying that the combination of Orange and Blueberry is super tasty too.
Tea Please!
It’s great when a product your already love is taken to a new and exciting place. That’s how I would describe Tea Plus. My evening cup of tea has just got better for me and I can’t wait to keep the benefits going. I will definitely be adding this to my weekly shop.
Have you tried Tea Plus?
Have to try it!

I have to admit to really not enjoying tea; although having said that, when I’m tricked and told a fruity flavour isn’t actual ‘tea’ I can enjoy it haha. It’s strange! Nevertheless, your photography here is beautiful babe!
