Dry Skin Saviours For The Season

The Nuxe Rêve de Miel range is known for being luxurious, nourishing and a real skin treat. I have used products from the line many times over the years. I’m so glad I could get a few products together to share my love for this line and its amazing benefits for dry skin.

Oh Honey, Honey

Well this week, I want to turn a light on another incredible range from Nuxe; Rêve de Miel. You may recognise the name, the Rêve de Miel line is synonymous with the Nuxe brand. Two new products were added to the range recently, which is why I wanted to share it with you. The Body Oil Balm and the Ultra Comforting Face Balm. The Honey Lip Balm is also new but a take on their iconic Rêve de Miel lip balm, which is well loved in the beauty community.

In the past I have tried their lip balm, hand cream and body scrub, all of which I absolutely adore. It’s more than just ‘nice’ body and skincare, it’s really something special. Especially if you have extremely dry and sensitive skin, listen up!

Rêve de Miel Face and Body Ultra-Rich Cleansing Gel | £19.50

The Ultra-Rich Cleansing Gel was actually something I had already in my shower, whereas the other products in the review were gifted to me. Just goes to show, I meant it when I said I was a fan of the line. Not only does this look like mesmerising liquid amber, it smells like honey and sunflowers. What more could you want from a shower gel.

You can use this as face wash as well, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. Curiously got the better of me and I did try it once but it is a foaming consistency, so not great for my skin type. Besides, I’m never really convinced by products that claim to be usable on the face and body. As a shower gel however, I love it. It’s foamy, smells great and most importantly keeps me clean. A luxury product but one I have no regrets purchasing. Perfect for pampering the skin, and a really great gift option too.

Rêve de Miel Body Oil Balm | £22.50

Stop whatever you are doing and run to the shops, because the Rêve de Miel Body Oil Balm is seriously one of the best body cream I have ever tried. Yes I will admit, I am head over heels obsessed with this one. This is a wonder product for very dry skin like mine because it provides hydration that lasts over 24 hours. So many body creams only hydrate my skin for a short time and then I start to feel dry and itchy not long after. This really keeps my skin hydrated until my next shower. Every time I use this I feel like my skin is repaired and more hydrated for next time. Its not as thick as say a Body Shop body butter, which I like as it allows me to more easily rub this in. The texture is really silky and my skin drinks it up.

Bye Bye Dry

If you have excema don’t fear, as this like everything from the Rêve de Miel line, causes no negative reactions in my skin. I really can’t speak highly enough of how well this has been working for me. My skin is on another level of dryness, for the first time in a long time I feel like I have found a winter saviour. Every product in the Rêve de Miel line has a slightly different scent, the Body Oil Balm wins by a mile. Vanilla, white nectar with a hint of sunny flora notes, make this smell like the best spa in the world. I will 100% be buying this again!

Rêve de Miel Limited Edition – Protect Bees Honey Lip Balm | £10.50

If you are a lip balm fanatic like me, you need to try the Rêve de Miel lip balm.

First of all, I can’t not mention the amazing neo-apothecary style packaging. It’s absolutely stunning and if you have been wanting to try this lip balm, It’s well worth picking up one of the LE (Limited Edition) styles as the price is the same. There are three in the LE collection, Respect Nature, Made In France and Protect Bees. The differences between the three are really only the outer cardboard box, but they illustrate Nuxe’s commitments to responsibility. A clever way to showcase the company’s values. The jar its self is what separates the original with the LE.

My Vanity Companion

Now it’s been a few years since I have had the original formula, from what I can remember this is same product inside. The scent may be different but it smells very familiar, a delightful honey and grapefruit combination. The texture is exactly how I remember. A thick, almost matte balm that lingers on the lips and deeply nourishes. I love to use this as a lip primer in the mornings before applying my makeup. By the time I’m ready to apply lipstick, this has sunk in, without making my lips sticky or glossy feeling. Something that would alter the performance of my chosen lip products.

A gorgeous product and something I reach for daily, I also recommend this before bed to repair your lips overnight. Either way it’s magic in jar.

Rêve de Miel Ultra Comforting Face Balm | £27.50

The Rêve de Miel Ultra Comforting Face Balm is the richest face cream I have ever tired, it’s the texture of butter. My skin feels so deeply hydrated when I use this, I can literally feel the bounce come back to my parched skin. I have been using this every morning for over a month now, and its been such a dream product during the season shift. As soon as the heating comes on, my skin turns into the desert. Anything that will provide lasting hydration and not just a quick fix, is a must for me.

I have nothing bad to say about the Comforting Face Balm. Despite its rich texture it doesn’t feel greasy. In fact, I haven’t experienced any negative reactions at all, it’s really been helping the extreme dry spots I get around my nose and mouth. It’s become a product I really love and trust, and the price point for this kind of quality has really impressed me too. If I was ever to do a top five moisturisers for dry skin, this would definitely be in the roster. Oh and it goes without saying, it smells heavenly too.

It’s no surprise that I love this line… High quality, ultra moisturising, packed full of nourishing ingredients, and everything smells like honey. I can’t rave about it enough. Nuxe is such an amazing skincare and body care brand and if you haven’t already, I highly recommend checking them out. It’s really hard to pick a favourite out of these. But if forced to I would say you need to try the Body Oil Balm, it’s absolutely a wonder product, and no doubt will be a holy grail of mine.
