Skincare the Q+A Way

Q+A of course stands for questions and answers. That is what Q+A Skincare are here to do, answer your skincare questions. Providing ingredient focused, cruelty free skincare, and better yet making them affordable too. I was excited to see how the line can answer to my skin concerns, ditch the unnecessary frills and delivering on what my skin needs.

Q+A Skincare

Introducing Q+A Skincare

A proud U.K business, Q+A Skincare is really affordable and offers key ingredient focused formulas. They are largely vegan (A small number contain bees wax) and all are cruelty free, free from artificial fragrance and mineral oil. Their fun and minimal colour coded packaging system is such a delight to not mix up products. Everything is clearly labelled and the brand is all about helping you select the right product, without being put off if you don’t know ingredient terms.

Q+A Skincare

Questions and Answers

On the back of all Q+A Skincare products you will find a matrix of easy to understand information. There is a checklist showing how the product helps, what skin types it’s suitable for and a how and when to use it. It doesn’t leave you in the dark, and makes it really easy to identify what’s going to work for you. I love how visual and accessible this information is. If you are a skincare novice this can really help to target your concerns and pick products that are right for your skin.

My Skin Type: Dry/Sensitive

Q+A Skincare Grapefruit Cleansing Balm

Q+A Grapefruit Cleansing Balm | £9

How does it help? Calming | Cleansing | Hydration Skin Type? All

100% Natural 🌿 Cruelty-Free 🐇  Alcohol-Free 🌈  Vegan-Friendly 🌱

Let’s start with the newest Q+A Skincare launch, the Grapefruit Cleansing Balm (Amazon). I was really excited for this, as I love cleansing balms as my first cleanse in the evening.

This has a lovely rich but not greasy texture, it’s already a softer consistency, so you don’t have you work hard to get it to melt into the skin. It effortlessly removes all traces of makeup. Even eye makeup. Easily and gently without stinging my eyes. There is a subtle natural grapefruit scent which is so divine.

I really thought I was on to a winner with this one, but after a few days I noticed how tight my skin was feeling once removed. Unfortunelty, as much as I wanted to love this, it was jut to drying for my very dry skin. Still I think this could be a real winner for normal/combo type skins, as all-in-all its got a lot going for it!

Q+A Skincare Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser

Q+A Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleanser | £7.50

How does it help? Anti-Age | Calming | Cleansing | Skin Firmness | Hydration Skin Type? All

94.7% Natural Formula 🌸  Cruelty-Free 🐇  Fragrance-Free 🌈  Vegan-Friendly 🌱

Moving on to the second cleanse, the Q+A Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleanser. (Amazon). I had high hopes for this cleanser. Hyaluronic acid, does wonders for my dry skin. I also find it tends to lend it self to more gentle and hydration focused formulas.

On the positive side, this has a lovely gel texture. It doesn’t foam up which I always appreciate and feels gentle on my skin. However, just like the Grapefruit Cleansing Balm, I found it rather drying. I know it makes no sense when it literally has hydrating in the title. But afterwards my skin always feels tight. Compared to my current favourite cleanser the Indeed Hydraluron Cream Cleanser, (Ulta) it’s just not won me over in the same way.

I have read some really positive reviews from fellow dry skin people, so maybe it’s just me and my pregnancy skin!

Q+A Skincare Superfood Facial Oil

Q+A Super Food Facial Oil | £8

How does it help? Calming | Rejuvenating | Hydration Skin Type? Dry | Sensitive | Normal

100% Natural Formula 🌸Cruelty-Free 🐇 Alcohol-Free 💫Fragrance-Free 🌈Vegan-Friendly  🌱

Now the Q+A Super Food Facial Oil (Amazon) on the other hand is a big winner for me. I loved this right away. Oils make for an amazing last step in a night time routine. As they allow your skin to really hydrate and repair while you sleep. I like to use about 5 drops. This is a lovely, light and fast absorbing oil.

It’s not greasy at all, my skin drinks it up, and I really love the plumping affect it gives. It’s fragrance free, which I always prefer in skincare. Oil’s can be pricey but this really shows they don’t need to be. Packed with vitamins A,C E & F this is a real winner.

Q+A Skincare Ginger Root Moisturiser

Q+A Ginger Root Daily Moisturiser | £8.50

How does it help? Anti-Age | Calming | Skin Firmness | Hydration Skin Type? All

98.7% Natural Formula 🌸 Cruelty-Free 🐇 Vegan-Friendly  🌱

Another product I loved right away! The Q+A Ginger Root Daily Moisturiser (Amazon). The Ginger Root Moisturiser does have a natural ginger scent. I love the smell of ginger but I know it may be off putting to some.

This is thick, rich but not at all greasy. I find my skin stays hydrated throughout the whole day, and it really helps keep dry patches at bay. I mostly use this in the morning as I use the Super Food Facial Oil at night. Together they make for a lovely hydrating duo. Natural ginger root helps even skintones after UV exposure, so it’s great for discolouration too. Such a lovely moisturiser and so affordable! A second win.

Q+A Skincare

The Q+A Way

Ultimately, I have enjoyed testing out Q+A skincare. Although I didn’t have the best of luck with the cleansers, I really do enjoy the Super Food Facial Oil and the Ginger Root Moisturiser. The brand is so affordable and ticks a lot of requirements I have for good quality skincare, that I actually want to use. I have a lot more Q+A skincare products to share so stay tuned for a part 2 soon.

That oil sounds incredible, especially for that price! I need to check out the full list and hopefully give it a go. It’s a shame the HA cleanser didn’t work for you, I was hoping you were going to love that as we seem to have really similar skin. Need to keep an eye on the brand though, they sound really promising x

ouuuuuuuu, that grapefruit cleansing balm is right up my corner. I know people may not like fragrance in skincare but I’m one of the few that actually like it as long as it’s not overpowering (don’t kill me……..lol).
Going to check it out as I always love all your recommendations!
    Sending lots of love!

I’ve never heard of this brand before so I liked reading this review. I like the packaging of this brand, it’s clean but still has some cute colors to it as well. It’s sad to hear that you didn’t really like the cleansers, I had high hopes for the Hyaluronic one! The oil sounds super interesting though, would love to try that one out.
