Trying more from Iconic London
When I first tired Iconic London a few years ago I was instantly a fan. A few of their more iconic products became well loved in my routine. I am excited to share my reviews and swatches of three more products from the Iconic London line. Has my opinions changed and have I found any new favourites?

Its been a while since I have tried some new products from the glow-giving brand Iconic London. They have a very Instagram aesthetic and are known for glamorous and illuminating products. I was keen to scoop out more from the brand, so turned to some staples to see more of what was on offer.
Iconic London have really built on their core line from the last time I spoke about the brand. It’s great to see more on offer. The three products I want to review today are all newer launches that caught my eye. I think in general the price point is a little high for the quality but they do offer some really long lasting and well performing products that won’t disappoint.
Iconic London Nice to Naughty Eyeshadow Palette | £45
The Iconic London Nice to Naughty Eyeshadow Palette (Lookfantastic) is huge with 20 eyeshadows in this large palette. If you take a close look at the names, this palette does have very festive vibes. With names like Sugarplum, Toasted and Prosecc-Ho. But it’s not smack you around the face festive themed. Which I appreciate. As cute as festive palettes are, it often feels like there are only really made for the season. Nice to Naughty offers cosy shades, cute names and autumnal vibes.
The Mattes
Of the 20 shades, there are only 4 mattes. Is that a deal breaker for me? No, as I still purchased it. However, I do find the mattes included limited. If you don’t have other palettes to pull additional shades from, it’s a struggle to create a variety of looks.
The matte shades are: Conker (deep warm brown), Rollneck (pale cream), Chai Latte (light neutral taupe) and Drop Me Out (dark slate grey).
For my skintone, I have been using Chai Latte in the crease. Conker as an option outer v shade. Rollneck as a browbone highlight, and Drop Me Out as another optional outer v shade or powder liner shade. As I said, it’s limited and can feel repetitive if you aren’t using external eyeshadows. Chai Latte and Conker are the better mattes in the palette for performance and pigmentation. They both blend easily and apply well. Drop Me out and Rollneck are less pigmented and chalkier, they also take longer to build up and blend.
The Shimmers
The rest of the 16 shadows in the palette are all classified as shimmers. I personally think this could be broke down further into shimmers, frosts, duochromes and metallic finishes. There are inconstancies in formula and performance among these shades. For example; Perfect Storm, Smokin’, So Extra and Prosecco-ho are richly pigmented and easy to blend. Then comes the shades that just don’t want to build up or blend; Catching Feelings, Soiree, Shook and Sparkler. The ones that work, really work and the ones that are just a light wash are disappointing.
The Shimmer shades are: Prosecco-ho (pale champange pink shimmer), Rose Gold (medium rose gold shimmer), Sugarplum (duochrome pale pearl), Perfect Storm (duochrome khaki and brown), So Extra (metallic medium yellow gold), Don’t Get Gel (metallic olive green), Catching Feelings (medium coral shimmer), Noted (pale champange frost), Toasted (warm medium brown metallic), Smokin’ (light taupe shimmer), Sparkler (cool light taupe frost), Warm & Cosy (medium terracotta shimmer), Soiree (masala shimmer), Champange Truffle (pale gold frost), Shook (taupe shimmer) and It’s Lit (hot orange metallic).
Naughty
All the shades in the palette have a lot of fall out when blending. This can be combated with doing your eyes first and then cleaning up with micellar water under the eyes. It’s an easy solution to the problem but does require extra planning. There are quite a few disappointing shades that either are to chalky or not pigmented enough, that unfortunately wont get love from me. For such a big palette I would have loved to have seen more matte shades to give better variety. There are shimmers that are so similar and could have easily been substituted to make room for blending shades.
Nice
There are some great shades in here that perform beautifully and make it easy to achieve the look I’m going for. I find the shadows last all day when using an eye primer. I have created numerous wearable looks I love. It’s a big palette with generous pan sizes. A good mix of warm, cool and neutral shades too. I find it to be easy to pick up and use and I enjoy reaching for it. The shadows don’t irritate my eyes or stain my lids.
Iconic London Lustre Lip Oil – Out Of Office | £21
The Iconic London Lustre Lip Oil (Sephora) comes in 5 shades. I chose the clear lip oil called Out of Office. If you are looking for a sheer wash of colour, the do have some really pretty tints in the range also. As a dry lip sufferer I am always looking for hydrating and nourishing lip products that are comfortable to wear and give me some shine. This lip oil ticks all those boxes.
It offers high shine without any sticky feeling. The formula is thicker then an oil, so it’s not going to disappear right away. If you aren’t convinced on glosses, lip oils may be better suited to you. As they are more like a gloss/lip balm hybrid. This particular formula is enriched with hyaluronic acid and vitamin C.
It’s the perfect handbag lip product, and once we can leave the house again, that’s exactly where I will be putting this lip oil. You can’t over apply it and you don’t need a mirror. As soon as your lips feel like they need a top up, it’s an easy application to revive throughout the day.
The formula is lovely and very comfortable, I love easy and effortless lip products that don’t need maintenance. The Iconic London Lustre Lip Oil was a real winner for me.
Iconic London Triple Threat Mascara | £19
I hadn’t heard much about the Iconic London Triple Threat Mascara (Lookfantastic) when I ordered it. So it felt like a perfect opportunity to give it a try! I am very hard to please with mascara… it absotelty cannot smudge or flake throughout the day. One strike and you’re out. I’m pleased to say the Triple Threat Mascara doesn’t smudge or flake. Although it’s absolutely not waterproof, it holds up all day on my eyes without coming off.
The Wand
The brush has very short silicone bristles. Silicone bristles tend to apply more mascara as the product naturally clumps to the brush. As a result, you have to have a light hand with this. Especially with the bristles being so short. It really depends how clumpy you like your lashes to look. I personally don’t mind a bit of clumping, something that helps make my lashes look fuller but still separated enough that my lashes look fluffy and not spidery. The wand is a good size for getting top and bottom lashes without fear of taking your eye out.
The Verdict
I like this mascara and enjoy using it but I’m unlikely to repurchase it. It passes my staying on all day test, which is important. However, it doesn’t give me as much length and curl as I personally like. I am after big lashes and this struggles to lengthen to the amount I’m looking for. The volume is good and I think the brush is the main reason. I also find it a little difficult to remove. After cleansing balm I still have to use micellar water afterwards to remove every trace.
Final Thoughts
It’s been great to try more from Iconic London. In my original blog post I was gifted the products but with this haul I purchased everything myself. It’s been great to compare as a blogger and consumer. The Liquid Illuminator (Lookfantastic) is still my top favourite from the brand but the Lustre Lip Oil (Harvey Nichols) from this haul is a new favourite too. Have you tried Iconic London?
I haven’t tried any Iconic London before but the lip oil sounds lovely! I would definitely need more mattes in an eyeshadow palette though! xx

There are some beautiful shades! I really love the lip oil xx
The eyeshadow palette is definitely huge! Love it when there is a large selection in an eyeshadow palette, it can be self-sufficient. The shades are beautiful. The fallout though can be annoying… I like doing my skin before my eyes when I put makeup, so I try to avoid eyeshadows that are too powdery. This can be a problem even with high-end palettes sometimes!

Aren’t they! Thank you so much for reading xx
I’ve not got anything from Iconic London, I feel like it’s a brand I saw loads of at one time and now haven’t. I love that eyeshadow palette, but that’s such a shame that they have a lot of fall-out and inconsistent formula is the worst! xx

There isn’t as much buzz around the brand as their used to be! I was glad to find some many releases and I really do love the formula of their lip oils. The palette is a mixed bag which is a shame! I love half of it. Thanks for reading xx
I’ve never actually tried anything from Iconic which I’m struggling to comprehend at the minute!! I love the sound of the lip oil. Mine are always dry and that one sounds so nourishing. 4 mattes in the palette would probably be an issue for me, I don’t mind having to pull from others for certain shades but I don’t like it when I know I 100% need to. The shimmers do look really pretty though x
Sophie
I still adore their liquid illuminator and that’s what inspired me to do a second haul! The Lip oil is lovely and a new favourite that I’ve been reaching for often. I am torn on the eyeshadow palette because it has some really lovely shades but it’s hard to recommend it when there is so few mattes! xx
I don’t think I have tried anything from Iconic London before, but it is such an interesting brand. There are so many shades in the palette and you do such a good job with the swatches, Sam! There is something here for everyone xx

There are so hits and misses to this palette but I’m glad I tried it, it’s been good to explore more from the brand! xx
I have not ever tried anything from Iconic London, that palette looks amazing. But yes I would want more matte shades as I do not really do shimmers much. And I so need a new mascara I may have to check this out.

You can achieve some really pretty soft looks with this palette! Thanks for reading xx
Amazing post! I haven´t read much about the brand on other blogs yet so it was really cool! I got the “Day to Slay” eyeshadow palette and it´s the best palette ever! I like the colors a lot and since I have it I started to use eyeshadows more frequently again and like it way more than my old naked palette, which for me personally wasn´t worth the hype.
I also used the iconic london one once for a face paint as a cheetah, cause we did a little costume zoom event and no shops were open and my colors were so shimmery and nice that I got lots of compliments 🙂
have a great day,

I’m so glad you like it. The Day to Slay is really pretty, I am tempted by it myself. Love the inventiveness of a shimmer cheetah look. I bet you looked gorgeous! xx
