Three rose face masks for glowing skin

Nuxe Paris has released three new rose face masks, that have absolutely blow me away. Rose isn’t usually my go-to but these light, fresh masks are powdered up to give glowing skin in abundance.

So I gave the game away in the first line, I’m a huge fan of the Nuxe Insta-Masque range. I mean they are some of the best masks I have tried in a long time and without a doubt ‘Top 10’ for me. Let the positive reviews roll.

Nuxe – Instinctive Beauty

I have been a loyal fan of Nuxe for many years, my love for the brand started with their Dry-Oil Huile Prodigieuse, which I think everyone and their grandmother’s donkey has tried. It’s a cult product for a reason. I have always loved their body products as they are so gentle, yet feel so luxurious. More recently, I have also been putting their Facial Suncreen and Body Suncreen to the test and I’m really enjoying those too. However, I hadn’t tried many skincare products from the brand before these masks and now I’m thinking why not?! It will definitely be something I plan on rectifying asap.

Masking Again?!

I know it hasn’t been long since my last mask related post, masks just seem to be the favour of the month at the moment. I have certainly tried a lot in the last few weeks but I can honestly say the Nuxe Insta-Masque range has come out on top. You know a product is good when you make a verbal comment to yourself in the mirror about it! All three are 2 minute masks as well, so you can have glowing skin in literally 60 seconds.

Skin Type

As I mention in every skincare post I have dry and sensitive skin. I’m happy to report I have no negative reactions to these masks whatsoever. I found all three gentle but effective and didn’t experience any drying or redness. I honestly see these working for all skin types which is what they are advertised as, but you never really expect it to be true! Not greasy, not drying, not harsh on the skin. I really believe these to be what they say on the tin… Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive.

Nuxe Insta-Masque Exfoliating + Unifying Rose and Macadamia Mask | £19.50

When I first saw the thick jelly texture of the Exfoliating + Unifying mask, I literally couldn’t wait to get it on my face. As I mentioned earlier these are 2 minute masks but because I don’t read things before I do things… I left it on for 10 the first time. Whoops. If you do, no harm done, just know you can leave it on for much less time with the same effect.

As I apply this to my skin, I noticed a very slight warming (not burning) sensation. The thick gel easily spreads and clings to my skin and I’m greeted by the gorgeous fresh rose and violet scent.

This Rose and Macadamia oil mask is totally unique, there is a physical exfoliating powder (Natural Origin Silica) suspended within the gel, which I don’t think you can tell just by looking at it. I only realised once I applied this to my skin, as we have established I didn’t read the packaging. It’s not jam packed with scrubby particles, so doesn’t over exfoliate the skin. Just gently buffs away dead skin cells when you come to remove.

Once a bit of water is applied, the mask turns into a milky oil, which allows you to gently exfoliate with the remaining products. Such a clever two in one. This mask is very gentle on my skin and I didn’t experience any burning or redness from start to finish.

My skin looks incredible after this mask. Truly like someone had turned a light on. Glowing fresh feeling skin in a matter of minutes. My pores look tighter and the surface of my skin more refined. I can’t rave about it enough. It’s a secret weapon for glowing skin.

Nuxe Insta-Masque Detoxifying +Glow Rose and Charcoal Mask | £19.50

This is no ordinary Charcoal mask, this is a detoxifying + Glow Nuxe Insta-Masque. Straight out of an M&S advert! (if you aren’t from the UK this most likely will make no sense) but in all seriousness, just like the other two masks in the range, this charcoal mask is totally unique. Instead of a charcoal clay mask, the botanical charcoal (bamboo) in this mask captures impurities in a thick and fresh feeling gel mask.

It has a sheer appearance once applied and the thick smooth gel easily coat the skin without feeling sticky or messy. The scent has notes of bergamot which is so fresh and inviting. Again this mask doesn’t dry down but I wouldn’t expect it to given its jelly texture.

Once its time to remove adding a bit of water this mask turns into a lotion that can be massaged into the skin for a deeper clean before rinsing completely off. I love masks that clear my skin of impurities, and the Detoxifying + Glow mask makes my skin look more even and overall brighter.

It’s a really noticeable effect, and I adore the clean feeling and appearance this gives my skin. It’s the most gentle charcoal mask I have ever used, as the gel isn’t harsh or stripping. A great one for once a week to really clear off any impurities, that have built up on your skin over the past week.

Nuxe Insta-Masque Purifying + Smoothing Rose and Clay Mask | £19.50

The Purifying + Smoothing mask has a fresh and fruity fig and ylang-ylang scent, with a hint of rose.  I wasn’t expecting them to all be different spins on a rose based fragrance, so if scent is a consideration for you, let it be known they are all slightly different.

The white clay in this mask is unlike many clay masks I have tired. Where they dry down fully to create that tight and ‘impossible to talk’ feeling on the skin. This mask stayed the same texture, which means it feels a lot less drying once removed. My skin never feels stripped or like its been through the wringer with this mask. Yet I still get all the benefits of a traditional clay mask.

I love how Nuxe suggests you can use this mask in the shower, never will I forget to do a mask again. I find this Insta-Masque is so comfortable on the skin but still makes my skin surface look and feel more even and my pore tighter (All three have had this effect albeit temporarily). Soft and smooth skin without the messy and tight dry skin. It’s a way forward and everything I didn’t know I wanted in a clay mask but now could not be without.

We’re Glowing

Truly I can’t say enough good things about these three masks! They are all winners in my books and I’m so happy they work so well for my sensitive skin but still give incredible results. We all know how much I love products that make my skin glow and now that can be achieved in just two minutes! Truly game changing. Do I think you need all three? Probably not, as they all make my skin look more even, brighter and my pores look tighter. It may just come down to preference on scent/texture and if you are after a physical exfoliating too. Either way I think these are a must try and extremely good value for less than £20. Honestly they preform like masks in the £60 arena so I’m doing some revaluation after this!
