I was over the moon to see the launch of the new Nuxe Bio Organic range. Products that are environmentally friendly are so important to me. I love sharing with you products that really do it all, not only in fabulous formulas but by being good for the planet too. It’s wonderful to have products that are so focused on organic formulas. However, they still need to impress me with real results to get my full seal of approval. I of course had no doubt that Nuxe would blow me away… and that they have!

What is Bio Organic?

You may not have come across the term Bio Organic before. Essentially it means the ingredients are organically farmed and the soil they grow in is well cared for. It is a certification, so you can trust the origins of this claim. The benefits of organic farming ensure that the ingredients are grown without pesticides or chemical intervention. Purer ingredients and better for the environment too.

Clean Beauty

The Nuxe Bio Organic range goes beyond that, all of the products contain 100% natural scents. A big plus for sensitive skin suffers, as artificial scents can be a common irritant.

They have also focused on Green technology, in short ways to improve the sustainability and environmental impact of the products. While still delivering potent formulas. More then just what’s inside, there is also a focus on how it’s made; creating products using less energy and waste.

Citrus Cells Glow Rich Moisturising Cream | £36

I knew I had to try the Citrus Cells Glow Rich Moisturising Cream
(Link to Lookfantastic) right away, it has my favourite word ‘glow’ in the title after all. This rich whipped texture is ultra hydrating. I find it to be less thick than the Nuxe Reve De Miel Ultra Comforting Face Balm (link to Escentuals), but just as nourishing. My skin feels so bouncy soft when I use this. It absolutely drinks it up, leaving my skin hydrated all day long. Best for dry/normal skin types, my skin has responded so well to this formula.

Most importantly, and yes I do rate this very highly… it smells like Terry’s Chocolate Orange which if you know that smell, I think you can agree sounds heavenly. All thanks to the key ingredient citrus cells. Citrus cells may sound like a boujee cocktail but this star active ingredient is what we have to thank for deep skin hydration. By helping to retain water molecules in the skin cells. The citrus cells are harvested using a small part of the fruit, grown in Nuxe’s home turf, France.

A new Holy Grail

I absolutely love the Circus Cells Moisturiser. It has rocketed to the top of one of my all time favourites (yes really!). I have really noticed an improvement in my skin texture and elasticity. Less dryness throughout the day and as a result less redness around my nose and mouth too. Smells wonderful, gives bouncy soft skin and is a pleasure to use. Absolutely a product I recommend.

Ultimate Night Recovery Oil | £37

So if you have been a reader for a while, you will know my love for a good hydrating oil. Enter the Ultimate Night Recovery Oil
(Link to Lookfantastic). Dry skin and hydrating oils were just made for each other. Who doesn’t want to wake up to soft hydrated skin? I can’t stress the importance of a good evening routine enough. Not only is it a good opportunity to wind down. But using products that are going to resurface and repair your skin while you sleep is so important.

Now the Ultimate Night Recovery Oil doesn’t smell like a Terry’s Chocolate Orange unfortunately. It’s more of a savoury scent. If I’m being honest, to me it smells like antipasto or an olive oil salad dressing. I personally don’t mind that scent, I love olives… but I know it won’t be for everyone.

Rice Oil Extract

The star of the show in this formula is rice oil extract. To strengthen the skins defence and repair. What’s special about this ingredient and what makes it so green friendly, is that the extract is obtained by using only a botanical oil. There is no waste, produced in the extraction and no need for unnecessary chemicals. The rice is also from, you guessed it France, It’s so nice to see Nuxe use so many local ingredients. All helping with the environmental credentials of this line.

This fabulous blend has jojoba, sesame, macadamia and avocado oil too. It’s so nice to see an ingredient list and know what everything is. All of these nourishing oils really come together to treat and repair my skin. I use about 4-5 drops after cleansing and a serum. You can use more but I find this to be the right amount to get it to absorb fully. This is a rich oil, so again would be best suited for dry/normal skin types.

Soft Skin By Morning

I have really been enjoying this oil, and seeing great results. The biggest being how much calmer and less likely my skin is to have a negative reaction. As I have sensitive skin, it’s such a relief to see products really work with my skin. To improve its appearance, and go deeper and really give relief as well.

Replenishing Nourishing Body Oil | £31 

Switching from skincare to bodycare now, I couldn’t not try the Replenishing Nourishing Body Oil
(Link to Lookfantastic). Not only did I want to see how this compared to the absolutely magical Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Oil (Link to Lookfantastic) but also as it was the only body product in the line, I just couldn’t resist.

Body oils are such a divine treat to repair and moisturise your skin. If you are an eczema sufferer like me you will know the importance of moisturising every day. There are so many creams and lotions that just don’t keep my skin hydrated for long enough. This on the contrary does and it feels like a pampering spa day.

As this is a natural hazelnut scent, its not very potent, but still warm, nutty and delicious. The cold process extraction of the hazelnuts ensures we are getting every benefit. Rich in fatty acids, hazelnut oil restores and brings comfort to the skin.

Its a no-brainer I love this, quick to absorb but leaves your skin with a sun kissed glow. All-day hydration and smelling like a dream. A little goes a long way and my skin looks and feels hydrated and smooth. Delightful!

Kinder to you, kinder to the planet

Nuxe continues to astound me with their phenomenal formulas and the Nuxe Bio Organic products I have been using have done just that. They are always gentle and considerate of my sensitive skin. While also providing amazing results. In short, Nuxe is a brand I really love and trust. I am so delighted they are going down a more environmentally friendly and organic route.

Also in the Bio Organic range are face masks, eye care, skin perfecting fluids, tinted creams and serums as well as a micellar water. If I had one wish for the line it would be a cleansing balm. Otherwise I think there is something for everyone and I really hope to see it expand even more.

Green technology in products is so important. What we put on our skin should be not only safe and beneficial  for us but sustainable for the earth too. The Nuxe Bio Organic products I have tried have blown me away. I adore them and really urge you to give them a try! Look after yourself and the planet too.
