6 products I’ve been loving
It’s been to long since my last current makeup favourites, and to many great products have been piling up without me shouting about them. It was worth the wait, as these 6 products are truly top, so much so I even wore two of them on my wedding day.

If you are interested in reading more of my recommendations, I have two other current makeup favourites posts for you to catch up on:
There are so many releases and so many great products out there, it can hard to know what to buy at times. I love writing these posts as they really are the gems in my collection that deserve the spotlight. I always try to include products from all price points, so there is something for everyone. Don’t worry, just because it’s more affordable, doesn’t mean it didn’t earn its place in this roster. These six products were so easy to pull out of my drawers, and share with you as they are the best of the best.
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara | £22.00
Benefit Roller Lash really is an oldie but a goodie in my collection. I have repurchased it many times and often flip between They’re Real and Roller Lash as my go-to mascaras from Benefit. Mascaras can be quite a personal preference but for me the rules are strict. I have water eyes, so smudging and flaking is a no-no. I love mascaras with a curved wand such, as this one as it gives great separation, volume and curl and the brushes are usually on the smaller side. Personally giant mascara wands terrify me, as I have stabbed myself in the eye before and never want to experience that again.
The packaging is adorable and it ticks all the boxes; long lasting, great volume and length and it stays put. A winner for me and one I continue to go back to time and time again.
Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk | £15.00
This isn’t the first time I have sung the praises of the Glossier Cloud Paint. Click here to read my original review if you missed it. It’s the best liquid blush formula I have ever tired. This easily blends into the skin without lifting or moving any product below. You can build this to the intensity you like, but as Dusk is such a neutral shade it’s hard to overdo. I used this on my wedding day underneath a powder blush to get a really long lasting effect.
I love the tone, texture and wear-time of this blush. It really is an amazing product and my top recommendation from Glossier. I want to get some more shades myself, as it’s everything I have been looking for in a blush.
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream | £31.00
I know I’m very late to the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream train, when IT Cosmetics first came to the UK, I had been meaning to pick this up, but I wanted to make more of a dent in my foundations first. So it was a great day when I could finally pick this up. I must say the shade range is sucky, I have the shade light, which in my opinion isn’t that light and it has quite a strong yellow undertone as well, so definitely not a universal shade.
Negative point aside, I adore this CC Cream. The coverage and wear-time are really impressive. It blurs my skin and just makes it look really flawless, without being dry or heavy considering it’s coverage.
One pump is more than enough for a full face. I can certainly see why this is such a popular base. Bonus points for spf 50. A perfect all in one, daily base that I just adore.
Maybelline Face Studio Chrome Extreme in Diamond Glow | £8.99
The Maybelline Face Studio highlighter in Diamond Glow has become one of my favourites. It’s very high-shine and as it’s a lighter shade of champagne, it really reflects as you move. I always get compliments when I wear this highlighter, as it really is a flattering shade for my skin tone and always catches the light, so get people’s attention.
It’s blinding without looking out of place on your cheekbones. A perfect easy to blend highlighter, that is perfect for those who want something with a bit of intensity. It’s pushed out highlighters three times the price out of my collection. I find this lasts over 8 hours on my skin, which is rare indeed and it never looks flaky or chunky. No glitter particles fall all over my face, it really is just a smooth, pearly powder that doesn’t emphasis texture either. Basically it’s a dream highlighter, and one that you need to run out and buy now.
Dior Lip Maximizer plumper in Rosewood | £28.00
The Dior lip Maximizer has been my favourite gloss since I got it. So much so, I also wore it on my wedding day over top a Dior lipstick. Dior just makes ridiculously great lip products. There are seven shades but they are all very sheer, so personally I don’t think it matters to much which you go for, as it really is just a tint of colour. I still chose Rosewood, as this is my go to kind of shade but I also have a miniature of Light Pink which I love too. The same great formula and honestly the colour looks very similar on my lips.
Plumping
This is a plumping gloss but I don’t find it extremely tingly or irritating. The sensation is very mild, which is fine by me. It makes my lips look so smooth, glossy and plumped. I just adore the effect. When you apply this gloss is when you can really tell it’s something special. As it contains hyaluronic acid, it’s amazing for dry lip. This gloss will glide over and make them look model perfect.
All I can say is, if you haven’t found that perfect gloss yet. This is it! If your still not convinced, the packaging is gorgeous and it smelly deliciously minty, so that’s another two bonus points from me.
Pat McGrath MTHERSHP Subliminal Platinum Bronze Palette | £60.00
Oh Pat McGrath, what have you done to me?! I wanted to give every other palette I own away, once I tried the MTHERSHP Subliminal Platinum Bronze Palette. I can’t describe these shadows in any other way then ‘out of this world’.
While in New York, I picked up this palette. It was the one makeup item I wanted the most, and I have no regrets. It’s a luxury product but it doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. The packaging is simply stunning, truly a work of art, and something I look forward to unfolding every time I open it.
Pigmentation and Quality
I will admit the one matte in this palette (Deep Velvet) doesn’t blend and build quite as effortlessly as the Viseart shadows I reviewed on my blog a few weeks ago. Click here to catch up if you missed it. But it’s still a rich, smooth brown that I love.
These shadows do have fall-out, as they are just so richly pigmented (I mean look at these swatches they speak for themselves). So this palette is one for the ‘eyes before foundation’ club. Sextrovert is the crumbliest, so packing-on, instead of swiping this shadow, works best, to get the same rich bronze shade in the palette.
Shade Range and Go-To Looks
These are deep tones which may not be to everyone’s taste, I have no complaints with the shade range and happily wear these shadows to work. I do have dark hair and eyes which may be a factor to consider.
For a day look, I like to bring in a crease shade from another palette (usually Viseart Neutral Mattes) and then use Platinize on the lid, with Telepathic Taupe on the outer V. It’s such a quick light-reflecting look.
For a deeper night-time smoky eye, I have been using Ritualistic on the lid with Smoke and Mirrors on the outer V, and Platinize as an inner corner highlight. Sextrovert looks amazing, as a one shadow look or paired with Deep Velvet. Basically, these shadows pair perfectly with each other and you can’t make a bad combination. I find it so easy to go simple with this palette, and never feel like my eyeshadow is basic. It’s a dream palette and I’m definitely investing in more of Pat McGrath’s eyeshadow palettes.
Makeup Dreams do come true
Cheesy but true, you know when you find a product and it’s just a ‘yes this is what I have been wanting all other products like this to be!’ it’s a great feeling. I’m so happy to be able to share these recommendations with you. As I love them all, I can’t pick a top product like I usually do but I can say these stood out in my collection and I hope if you’re looking for something new you found it in this post.
I’ve heard so many amazing things about the cc cream!

It’s so gorgeous right, I just love the formula and feel on my lips xx
The eyeshadow palette looks beautiful. I would get so much use from it but I’m not sure if I could justify the price – I own so many palettes! x

I know I need to slim down my collection too as I have quite a few I love a lot. If you are in the market for a new palette though, this one does not disappoint xx
Those eyeshadow swatches look incredible! I’m yet to try anything from Pat Mcgrath but I’m dying to get my hands on something. I’ve always wanted to try the It Cosmetics CC creams but I can’t wear foundation with SPF without getting a rash so that sucks, the shade range does look awful though! I really like Roller Lash as a nice everyday mascara. Love the look of the Cloud Paint too, I’ve been wanting to add some more liquid and cream blushes to my collection before winter as I’m finding my skin is getting a little too dry for powders now x

Aw I’m so glad you like my picks. Pat McGrath seriously doesn’t disappoint, I’m dying to try more from the line now, as it really was everything I hoped for and more. I know why is there shade range so bad! Not worth trying if it’s going to cause irritation in your skin but I can really recommend the Glossier cloud paint, such a great alternative to powder in the cooler months xx
Nice products!
I’ve been using a liquid blush, too. (mine is Daniel Sandler).

So many great products! I’ve always loved the look of the Maybelline highlighters, but I never seem to see that pale shade. I definitely need to find it, it looks super pretty xx
Hannah | luxuryblush
It was a lucky find, I know there are quite a few gold and deeper shades in the Chrome Extreme range, but Diamond Glow is well worth the hunt! xx
The shimmer of these shades is stunning… plus the maybelline highlighter.

I’ve heard a lot about the cc cream, looks so nice.
It’s one of my favourite products! Hope you get the change to try it xx
I definitely agree with you about the IT Cosmetics CC cream, it’s so yellowy!. I was really excited to try it after much hype but being totally honest, it’s not been as long lasting as I would have hoped. I am however looking for a new mascara so will definitely have to pick up roller lash!
Musings & More
I know the shade range is pants, but I do love it. It wears well on me but I do have dry skin so that might be why. Oh I hope you love it if you do give Roller Lash a try xx
Ohhh so many great products! I must try!
