Luxury body and skincare brand L’Occitane have a beautiful collection of gift sets this year. They have been one of my favourite brands for many years, so I was over joyed to be able to pick my two favourite sets to share with you. L’Occitane have ditched the plastic outer-packaging and created a wide range of more eco-friendly options to suit every budget and taste this Christmas.

Sustainable Sourcing & Recycling Programme

Reduced Plastic Packaging

This Christmas season L’Occitane has reduced their of plastic by a whopping 82% from last year. Their giftsets definitely have the environment in mind. Swapping plastic wrap for paper, making material and reusable advent calendars and ensuring all their gift boxes are easily recyclable. L’Occitane have created a beautiful curated Christmas collection that feels special and doesn’t rely on single-use plastic at all. Even their mailers are plastic free! They also offer a lot of refill options so if you fall in love with a product you can refill easily. L’Occitane are also working towards using 100% recycled plastic by 2025.

TerraCycle

In January 2019, L’Occitane announced a collaboration with TerraCycle. TerraCycle recycles old packaging by shredding, cleaning, and converting it into new material. This allowed us, the consumers, to return our empty L’Occitane items to any L’Occitane boutique and be certain that they were recycled appropriately. Since the relationship began, approximately 1,800kg of garbage has been kept out of landfills. Beauty packaging is often very hard to recycle and not enough brands are taking responsibility for the packaging they are producing. I love that L’Occitane have thought about the afterlife of their products are and ensuring that there is a new-life scheme in place.

L’Occitane Almond Body Care Collection | £50

The almond collection from L’Occitane is my absolute favourite so this set is a must have for me. It’s fantastic value and sure to be a hit for any body-care lover this season. The gift set is beautifully packaged inside this printed and gold foiled box illustrated by Tristan Bonnemain. The details are so pretty and gives me homestead/Thanksgiving vibes. I love to horde pretty boxes and I am planning to use this to store Christmas decorations inside once I’ve finished with the products. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to get this on Christmas morning; it’s such a thoughtful present that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on everyone who receives it.

Almond Delicious Soap | £5.50

The sweet almond oil gives the L’Occitane Almond Delicious Soap a beautiful delicate scent that lingers on your skin. It also has ground almond shells to gently exfoliate. I like to use this as a hand soap. Richly creamy and it lathers beautifully, this is a lovely travel sizes soap. This is the only product from the set I hadn’t tired before and it didn’t disappoint. Even if you aren’t usually a soap lover, using them for your hands instead of liquid soap is a great eco-swap to make. Before you know it you won’t even miss the liquid soap! I made the swap a few years ago and have never looked back. Bars of soap are just more exiting and often have scents that linger for longer. I knew I would love this, and I did!

Almond Delicious Hands (Travel Size) | £8

Delicious hands is right because that’s exactly how good the L’Occitane Almond Delicious Hands smells. This vegan formula is so moisturising and not at all greasy. It’s a hand cream I get excited to use and most importantly it actually works. L’Occitane are well known for their hand creams and for a good reason, they work as well as you would hope every hand cream would. Only a travel size comes in this set but a little goes a long way. It will almost certainly start a love affair for anyone once they try it. With all the excessive hand washing I’ve been doing due to the pandemic, a hand cream is an essential. Why not make it an enjoyable experience too with delicious hands.

Almond Milk Concentrate 100ml | £42 (for 200ml)

The Almond Milk Concentrate Body Lotion is one of L’Occitane’s best sellers. It’s described as a miracle in a jar and honestly it’s so good I can see why. The formula melts into your skin. I have to use body lotion everyday due to having dry skin and if the formula isn’t hydrating enough I find my skin can feel dry and itchy a few hours after. I don’t have to worry if I’m using the Almond Milk Concentrate. My skin feels nourished all day. It’s more then just hydrating, this wonderful formula leaves skin looking firmer and signs of aging reduced. Walnut seed and almond extract help protect skin elasticity while stimulating cellular renewal. It smells just as fantastic as the whole almond line and when paired with the shower gel, you could skip a fragrance because you already smell a treat!

Almond Shower Oil 250ml | £19.50

Now for the star of the show, my all time favourite shower oil. The L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil is simply heavenly. This has such a unique and luxurious texture, the oil transforms into a delicate milk that feels so hydrating. My whole bathroom fills with the scent of sweet almond oil. Its a totally luxurious product that leaves your skin feeling super soft. This is an award winning product for L’Occitane and certainly one of my favourites. You can also get a refill so keep your bottle and top it up whenever you are low. Once you try this showering will never be the same again.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Festive Bauble | £12

How adorable is the L’Occitane Shea Butter Bauble? The beautiful tin really drew me in. I love that its reusable and it is so beautifully designed I would want to keep it and display it every year. Inside you get three mini products from the Shea line. If you aren’t sure what scents the person you are shopping for likes, you can’t go wrong with shea butter. This beautiful mini gift has universal appeal. It would make a great stocking stuffer or secret Santa gift. Its also a great way to try some of L’Occitane’s most popular products if you are new to the line. Beware you will want to repurchase the full sizes once you do!
